What are Bulk Edits?
Bulk Edits are a function of the Comestri PIM that allow you to perform an action on multiple products at the same time.
Bulk Edits can be applied to a list of filtered products. (To learn more about creating and applying filters, visit the Product Filters article.)

Types of Bulk Edits
The Bulk Edits available in Comestri are as follows:
- Assign Category
Assigns/removes selected Categories to/from a list of filtered products. - Set Attribute
Changes or assigns Attribute values on a list of filtered products. - Generate Price
Lets you assign and change prices on a list of filtered products. - Publish to Channel
Pushes products that meet the filter criteria into specified Channel(s). Often used for testing changes to field mapping in Channels. - Assign Catalog
Assigns Catalogs on a list of filtered products.
Options for Performing Bulk Edits
Depending on the Bulk Edit, you may have 3 options for performing it:
- Run Once
Triggers the Bulk Edit manually. You can trigger it manually multiple times. - Automatic
Sets the Bulk Edit to be triggered every time a product is created or updated in the Comestri PIM. - Recurring
Schedules when the Bulk Edit will be performed.
Creating/Accessing Bulk Edits
1. Creating Bulk Edits
You can create new Bulk Edits on the Manage Products page.
To create a Bulk Edit, you must firstly define/load a product filter to produce a filtered list of products.
You then select a Bulk Edit to perform on the products in the filtered list.
2. Accessing Bulk Edits
You can access existing Bulk Edits on the Bulk Edits page.
On this page you can also:
- Edit Bulk Edits
- Execute Bulk Edits
- Undo Bulk Edits (for Bulk Generate Price only)
- Delete Bulk Edits
- Click the ‘New Bulk Edit’ button to go to the Manage Products page where you can create a Bulk Edit.
